Clearance Sale- Everything Must Go

The arrival of 2009 will mark the end of this blog. My photography blog will continue for as long as I have time to take pictures. Happy New Year to all.

Our Christmas Card To You

In our eight Christmases as a married couple, I think Steph and I sent out Christmas cards exactly once. This year, I've decided to make it number two, but instead of sending it out, I'm posting it here. Happy Holidays to everyone. May 2009 bring you and your loved ones peace.

(We took this shot this morning, and yes, those are all dog cookies. Two plates piled high.)

Santa's business model

Tonight, Stephanie and I headed to the local shopping mall to do a little Christmas shopping. While there, we saw a display in which Santa was wrapping the latest popular electronic item. The scene got us thinking- Santa is constantly making things developed by major corporations. So is the whole North Pole thing just an offshore manufacturing location that gets around domestic patent law? Something to think about.

Just wondering...

When did McDonalds get flat screen televisions?

I was in a McDonalds today for the first time in... I wouldn't even know how long. I mean, I'd guess I've been there no more than 2 or 3 times this decade. Anyway, there was a plasma television in there. Is this the norm for fast food joints these days? And if so, when did this happen?

It's not easy being a conservative in Chapel Hill

Don't be fooled by the headline- I'm a registered independent. And I don't live in Chapel Hill anymore. However, those who have lived there know that it's a decidedly pro-Dem place. In fact, I'm pretty certain that Karl Marx probably has more fans in Chapel Hill-Carrboro than Sarah Palin does. Which may be why one rare Chapel Hill republican may have felt the need to go to some lengths to protect his McCain-Palin sign.

Over and out

I think blogging is an enjoyable hobby... when you've got something to say. I haven't posted anything meaningful in months here. I continue to enjoy my photography blog and our website, but increasingly, I get less and less out of the 24th grade nothing. For now, I won't delete the blog, but I also don't plan to post anything until I have a sustained period of blogging inspiration. If that doesn't happen by the time I'm a 25th grade nothing, it will be time to go Dr. Kevorkian on this site.
